First the snow, the endless, bitter "Insomnia"-like white menace. Now....flooding. Again. Didn't this already happen in November?
Oh, what's that? OHhhh that's right. I apologize -- what I mean was, "Didn't this happen in November...TWICE?"

I'm about to lose my mind, frankly. This is just too much. I have a pug, a 9 year-old, the amoral levity of the internet, Stephen King paperbacks and music to keep me sane.
In fact, I spent an hour today making a playlist which can sufficiently define my current mood. I call it "Weird Nightmare" (a nerdly nod to Charles Mingus, yes, you guessed correctly).
The list has to have that which is surreal, vaudevillian nightmarish, the weird and wonderous. If I'm leaving out something you think would be absolutely essential, drop me a line. I'll at least put up a partial list. Maybe I'll inspire other Sultanites to not succumb to cabin fever! ;) One can only hope.
"Weird Nightmare" Playlist, take one.
1) Kronos Quartet -- "Pannonia Boundless, for string quartet"

40 ) 'Whispering' Jack Smith -- "Me and My Shadow"
That's the playlist so far. I cannot for the life of me find my copy of "All The Things You Could Be By Now If Sigmund Freud's Wife Was Your Mother" by Charles Mingus, which is lame. Besides being a completely epic title for a song, it's actually a really good Mingus tune.
I bet it is on the other computer. Stay dry and warm, everyone. :)
Current Reads: Stephen King's "The Langoliers" and Mario Puzo's "Omerta".
